Damn right Sam! That’s exactly my point….when the woman is the only thing holding two people back from bumping uglies then it’s not strictly platonic. P has a point there, I can’t think of any females that I haven’t been with that I DIDN’T want to get with. Most guys if given truth serum (alcohol) will admit that they would go for a little wrestling match in the bedroom with one of their “friends” if she was down. I even agree with cheese monkey this time….slightly. I do think that a guy can be a true friend and be there for you…but he also wants to be “there” (guess where I’m pointing!) for you to!

Yes, platonic relationships exist however if they exist soley because the female isn’t getting physical or being flirty with her male friends..then it’s not really platonic. My perception of true platonic relationships are if they guy or female never came on to one another and never expressed interest at all…now that is rare, if one or both of the people are attractive.

LOL!! no not married and i’m sure if i gave any of my boys the come hither look it would be on, but that would never happen. I mean there was a point in time when they both had a “thing” for me but we just became bestis friends. And after a while I think they just moved on and looked at me as their homie g dawg (LOL) and nah our circle was pretty small but they weren’t in the “group” i was attracted to in high school anyway which would have been the athletes.

First, I love the Riley avatar. B, you like sports AND you were a cheerleader??? Are you married? Seriously, I can damn near guarantee that if you gave one of your friends one of those Halle Berry “make me feel goods” they would be naked by the time you blinked. There isn’t/hasn’t been anything sexual b/c you are in control of that, once guys are in the friend zone. And trust me no man wants to be there. Third, I recognize that there are situations that will prove this rule….and you may just be one of them. Yea i’mma have to disagree with you on this. All through high school I had guy friends, hell two of my best friends were guys. And i’m sure they didn’t look at me as one of the guys. Granted I am a big sports fan but i was also a cheerleader (very short skirts) so they couldn’t see as one of the guys. And there was never anything sexual between us we were/are really good friends and that’s it.
