The guy pictured above is an extremely talented actor and friend of mine named Anthony Mackie. It was taken yesterday at the Venice International Film Festival for a film he stars in called The Hurt Locker. I had the pleasure of doing some work on that film (An action movie set in Iraq and filmed in Jordan) and the displeasure of spending 4 months in the Middle East in the middle of summer.
But that’s not what this is about…
Some of you who recognize Anthony’s face may remember him from the Spike Lee film She Hate Me. If nothing else I know the fellas remember the RIDONKULOUS amount of sex scenes in it….CULMINATING with the lesbian scene between Kerry Washington and Dania Ramirez!

So I’m talking with the producer of the The Hurt Locker while he’s standing a few feet away from the red carpet. The conversation goes roughly as follows:
Preston: So which of the stars is getting the most play on the red carpet?
Producer: Anthony! It’s not even close!
Preston: Really?! I thought Jeremy Renner or Brian Geraghty would get some love too! There white guys. You’re in Italy……
Producer: Preston DID YOU SEE She Hate Me?!?
Preston: Yeah… What about it?
Producer: Dude we’re in Italy!! He fucked Monica Bellucci in that movie!! If some foreign dude did a movie where he banged Halle Berry like a drum…you’d probably remember that wouldn’t you???
Preston: You mean he’s the man right now for having smashed that country’s sex symbol on film?
Producer: Exactly…
Several seconds of silence pass….
Preston: I love this business
