Who’s More Scandalous…

There’s always been back and forth about who’s more scandalous, men or women.  We never really stop to consider it, but this is truly a generational phenomenon.  When our parents were our age I don’t think anyone really discussed this.  I’m not saying that women in our parents generation were not scandalous.  And I’m not saying that men from that generation were more decent.  What I am saying is that they were certainly less overt.

We ARE the sexually overt generation.  There are several songs that have come out in our lifetime, but there are few that you could say defined us.  Few that began a trend for what we’ve become known for…

I contend that that song is R. Kelly’s Bump & Grind.  People forget now…but that song was HUGE!!!  R. Kelly is still spending Bump & Grind money……….well his lawyers are anyway…  And that one song led to a trend of increasing sexual blatancy in pop music.

From there we went from “Let me lick you up and down, til you stay stop…” (go ahead…keep singing it to yourself…).  To BET Uncut.  To “Gimme That!”.  To Bust It Babies…(ladies, apparently your new nickname is “wet wet”).

Our parents weren’t angels…they were just infinitely more discreet!!  But undeniably, this is us.  This is our generation.  So now that we’re here…and it’s ALL out in the open…who’s more scandalous….men or women?

    Both sexes are scandalous. But if I had to pick one though I’d say women, we are evil creatures LOL! It’s so easy for us to smile up in your face while we stab you in the back.

  4. Bahama & Silkie — I definitely agree with that. Women are more coordinated and covert with their ish… It’s a thing of beauty when you get to see it in action. Like watching those time-lapse photos on the national geographic channel.

    every generation gets “worse”. i mean in the 1920s, you could cause a mass hysteria amongst men if you so much as showed an ankle or a toe. now, you got busses with chicks flashing their boobs (true story; http://www.freedomforum.org/templates/document.asp?documentID=3136).

    and we aint got SHIT on the next generation. them lil bastards got sex jewelry now. wear a certain color bracelet and that means you down for that activity. i don’t what colors mean what but once again i was born in the wrong time period. it’s something like you wear a red bracelet and that signals that you’re into oral only or some shit like that. it’s craziness. lil kids straight advertising the ass.

    It’s just the sign o’ the times. Eventually, we’ll be able to walk down the street butt nekked and hump on whoever we please.

  9. I this question is similar to the question “Who cheats more?”. The answer to that would be both. Now that is not to say that as a woman I have not done some scandalous things in my life but they are not on public review. The only reason women get labeled as more scandalous is that we very rarely get caught. Scandal has nothing to do with if it is hidden or not.

    What is the same about women and cat?
    They cover their s****.

    Plain and simple.

  10. Princess0889, your comment really made me think……..I have to slightly disagree with you though. I think being scandalous does have a little to do with it being hidden or not - that’s the point. Being scandalous, I believe has to do with your reputation being on the line and when it comes to matters of reputation and character, women are measured on totally different scales. Being scandalous for a guy is the norm, although it shouldn’t be, but when it’s a chick, muthafucka’s have to sit and think about that rug being pulled right from under them and them not even having a clue - which makes it worse! LOL

  11. Silkie Trickz, we as women feel the same way when a guy does something scandalous to us, whether we understood that men do things like that or not. Once feelings are involved in either party the experience is the same but the perception is different.

  12. TRUE THAT - but I still think it makes a difference whether or not it’s hidden. It’s worse when someone lies to you and you find out after the fact as opposed to if they just come right out and tell you. The wrong is still wrong no matter what, but that fact that you lied about it takes it to another level.

    I agree with Silk on “it makes a difference whether or not it’s hidden”. To me, that’s part of being scandalous - lying & all that instead of being upfront about the kind of person you are & the kinds of things you do.
